Failing to address bird problems via bird netting, removal, spikes or other methods can prove costly. Bird issues need to be addressed for a number of reasons. These include:

• Health Issues – Diseases including E. Coli, Salmonella and Ornithosis can be caused by bird droppings being left untreated.
• Infestations – Failure to address bird nestings can result in infestations by bird associated insects. These include biting insects, fleas, bird mites, ticks, lice and many more.
• Corrosion and damage of buildings – Bird droppings are very acidic, which causes significant damage to buildings over a long period of time. Droppings can also damage, and even strip, paintwork on cars.
• Causing Accidents – Bird droppings on pavements, fire escapes and similar surfaces can prove to be dangerous when wet, creating a significant slipping hazard.
• Contamination and Fouling – Water sources can be contaminated, which is especially a problem with the increasing usage of air conditioning systems in modern office buildings,which can rapidly spread disease.
• Flooding Issues – Gutters are regularly blocked by bird droppings and other debris such as nesting. This causes overflows/leaking which results in potential damage to walls and roofing.
• Disturbance – Roosting birds can be especially noisy, especially when in confined environments such as roof spaces around your property.
• Loss of Company Reputation – Damage to customer relationships can result, due to problems with birds flying around premises, leaving droppings and causing disturbance.
• Food Hygiene – Under the Food Safety Act 1990 fines can be issued if Health & Safety legislation is not met.
